“My Little Pony” is heading to towns across the U.S. in an all-new musical from Hasbro and Mills Entertainment.

Inspired by “My Little Pony’s” themes of friendship and magic, the original stage production features the show’s characters Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack and Rainbow Dash. The show’s story follows the ponies as they prepare for the blossoming of Ponyville’s Rainbow Tree. The group must set out to save the ailing Rainbow Tree with strength, determination and creativity.

“Having expanded from a consumer products brand in its early days to a powerful entertainment player, ‘My Little Pony’ is an iconic brand that has touched people everywhere,” says Michael Mills, chief executive offiver, Mills Entertainment. “We’re proud to partner with Hasbro to bring the live show to fans across the country.”

The original stage production was developed by writer and lyricist, Jeremy Desmon; composer, Jeff Thomson and director Jenn Rapp. The production kicks off in March 2020 and tours throughout the country with stops including Boston, Milwaukee, Atlanta and Houston.

Hasbro’s deal follows a recent partnership with fashion accessories designer Reine for a line of “My Little Pony” handbags.
