Global (SBG), parent company to Scott Brothers Entertainment (SBE), has appointed Amory Millard to run the company’s new Kids division.
As vice president, Kids, Millard will develop content for the Scott Brothers’ youngest fans across multiple platforms and categories.
“Amory brings the perfect combination of creativity and leadership to our new initiative in kids’ programming, where we see a lot of need and opportunity,” said Jonathan Scott, co-chief executive officer, Scott Brothers Global.
Amory is an executive producer for “Builder Brothers Dream Factory” – an animated TV series for preschoolers, co-produced by SBE and
(“Odd Squad,” “Dino Dana”). The 40 x 11-minute series is SBE’s first kids’ TV project and Sinking Ship’s first fully 3D-animated production. It stars eight-year-old versions of Drew and Jonathan Scott as they solve problems around their neighborhood.
Carla de Jong, head, production,
will distribute the series globally and announcements regarding global broadcasters and streamers will follow.
"Now that we both have families of our own, kids programming is all the more personal to us,” says Drew Scott, co-chief executive officer, Scott Brothers Global. “‘Builder Brothers’ is based on our young lives, when we learned the values that still drive us to this day. We’re excited to collaborate on new projects that share these values.”
As previously announced, Sinking Ship and SBE also secured Nelvana to serve as global merchandise agent.
“This series is a natural extension of what the brothers’ multi-generational fan base loves about their shows: transformation, innovation, creativity and fun,” says Millard. “It also gives us an exciting jumping-off point for conversations about content creation and collaborations with a variety of new partners.”
Millard’s previous experience includes executive leadership roles with several global media companies, where she built consumer product franchises for Peanuts, The Beatles, WWF, The World of Eric Carle and many others. Millard led creative teams to produce multiple award-winning kids’ digital apps and produced an Oscar-nominated live-action short film.
In addition to overseeing all aspects of the Builder Brothers brand franchise and building the kids’ portfolio, Millard also oversees the hit
mobile game, and is actively seeking new opportunities for brand and content development in the kids’, tweens’ and teen categories.
