ViacomCBS is restructuring, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. Ahead of the launch of Paramount+ in 2021, Tom Ryan has been named chief executive officer and president of ViacomCBS streaming. Marc DeBevoise is stepping down as part of the reshuffle.

ViacomCBS is exhibiting at Festival of Licensing, a month-long large-scale digital gathering that unites the global licensing industry to connect, learn, strike deals and do business on an international stage. The event takes place Oct. 6-29. Register for free now!

The changes will essentially dissolve the CBS Digital Group, which oversees streaming, digital and technology assets. In September, the shrinking had begun with the sale of CNET Media Group to Red Ventures for $500 million.

Ryan, who previously ran PlutoTV, plans to accelerate growth for free and paid streaming services for ViacomCBS.

"[The restructuring is about] bringing together the leaders of our streaming platforms to create a unified global organization that will enable us to execute a holistic strategy across both free and pay,” says Bob Bakish, chief executive officer, ViacomCBS.
