Today, June 2, 2021, as we emerge humbled and near victorious over COVID-19, we celebrate the sixth annual Global Exhibitions Day (GED 2021). The Global Licensing Group stands in strong support of GED and thanks its sponsor, UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry as well as the scores of hardworking professionals worldwide involved in the business exhibition and event community.

Today, we reflect upon the importance of our industry on local and international communities and recognize the need for getting back to in-person events where people directly interact with each other and products while contributing cash to physical exhibition communities promoting jobs of all levels and kinds. For our licensing community, it has been well over a year since we have gathered in person, and we are looking very forward to complementing our new virtual offerings born out of necessity with the resumption of our staple expos and new live events.

As we look to the first in-person events we will hold following the pandemic, including Brand & Licensing Innovation Summit New York, taking place October 27 and 28, 2021 in New York City ,and Brand Licensing Europe, taking place November 17-19, 2021, we are grateful for UFI’s leadership in imposing strict and rigorous health and safety protocols for our industry so that in-person exhibitions will be welcoming and attended by record numbers of attendees, including exhibitors and consumers from all around the world.
