Classic Media has partnered with Front Row Motorsports and Lionel NASCAR Collectables for a line of Where’s Waldo? die-cast NASCAR cars to celebrate the character’s 25th anniversary.
As the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Martinsville Speedway Oct. 28 in Martinsville, Vir., Waldo will be easy to find as he whizzes around the race track on the side of David Ragan’s No. 34 Ford Fusion. The race car will feature the Where’s Waldo? On The Beach scene, which will then be transformed into a line of limited edition collectible cars from Lionel NASCAR Collectables.
"We are pleased to partner with the top tier team of Front Row Motorsports and driver David Ragan so fans can bring the search for Waldo to the NASCAR track,” says Nicole Blake, executive vice president global marketing and consumer products, Classic Media. “Waldo typically travels on foot, so it is exciting that he now has his first set of wheels with the Where’s Waldo? No. 34 car and the die-cast cars from Lionel NASCAR Collectables.”
Fans can pre-order the die-cast cars now on the Lionel website.
“Waldo is such a powerful icon,” says Ragan. “From waiting rooms, to classrooms, to both road trips and afternoons at home, I think most of us have sat down and tried to find Waldo at least a few times. This is probably the most unique paint scheme I’ve ever had on one of my cars. A partnership with Where’s Waldo? alone would have been very cool, but to have the entire car designed as an actual mural–that is just awesome.”
