IMG Completes FCA Group Collection with Fiat and Alfa Romeo

IMG Adds to car brand collection following agreement with FCA Italy.

FCA Italy has signed a new contract with IMG to manage global licensing for its well-known Italian car brands.

Already managing U.S. FCA Group brands such as Jeep, RAM, Dodge and Chrysler, IMG has added the Italian market to its portfolio with mainstay Italian brands Fiat, Fiat 500, Fiat Professional, Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Abarth.

"We selected IMG after in-depth and thorough research because they were able to interpret, envisage and foresee the importance of growing brand extension while being rigorous on the protection of the brands' identities and values," says Cristiano Fiorio, head of brand communication, FCA EMEA. "They have been able to create a sustainable business plan, and at the same time demonstrate how to sustain brand equity."

The collaboration also includes management of existing licenses surrounding the Italian car lines, taking a region-by-region approach to developing each program from IMG's Milan office.
