Paul Haines, director of business development and licensing at Carte Blanche Group, is stepping down after 13 years with the company.

“Paul has played a vital role in the evolution of the business, delivering above and beyond his remit in so many areas. The board and I are very sorry both professionally and personally to see Paul go and would like to take the opportunity to wish him every success in whatever he decides to do now,” says Alister Marchant, chief executive officer, Carte Blanche. “Licensing is an important area of focus for the business an

d Paul’s departure gives us the opportunity to look at the structure we have in place to support its growth, ensuring that it works in harmony with our proprietary business to meet the more collaborative needs of our customers both domestically and internationally.”

Haines joined Carte Blanche in 2000 and was instrumental launching the Me to You brand into gifts and plush. More recently, Paul has headed up the licensing area of the business.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to be involved in one of the U.K.’s leading greetings card and gift brands. Deciding on the right time to retire from the business was never going to be easy; however, after 13 wonderful years, I have decided that the time is right for a new challenge and to focus on a number of other initiatives outside of Carte Blanche,” says Haines. “I would like to thank all of the colleagues, clients and friends I have worked with over the years and will enjoy watching the team at Carte Blanche continue to build on the success of the amazing brands I have been lucky enough to be part of for so long.”
