In conjunction with the opening of The Elvis Experience exhibition in São Paulo, Brazil, Elvis Presley Enterprises has appointed BR Licensing to represent the brand in Brazil.
“Elvis has always maintained a broad international appeal and it is no surprise that there are thousands of fans across South America and Brazil who continue to embrace his rich legacy,” says Carol Butler, vice president, worldwide licensing, EPE. “With the popularity of Elvis in Brazil, the new exhibit and upcoming concerts, the timing is perfect for us to work with BR Licensing.”
One of the largest exhibitions ever (outside of Elvis Presley’s Graceland in Memphis, Tenn.), The Elvis Experience features more than 600 rare artifacts, documents and photos, including the red MG automobile from Blue Hawaii, a gold-plated rotary dial telephone from Elvis’ bedroom and his signature white suit.
In addition to the exhibition, South American fans will also be able to experience Elvis Presley in Concert Oct. 6, a live concert featuring videos of Elvis performances accompanied by performers on stage.
“BR Licensing is very proud to have Elvis Presley in our portfolio,” says Glenn Migliaccio, director, BR Licensing. “The timing could not be better in Brazil for Elvis with the recent opening of The Elvis Experience in São Paulo and the October Elvis Presley in Concert in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília.”
