DreamWorks Animation has hired Justin Pertschuk and Mimi Slavin to join its marketing team as head of digital marketing and head of global promotions respectively.

Prior to joining DreamWorks, Pertschuk was president of trans-media agency 42 Entertainment. Before that, he was an 11-year Disney veteran and a pioneer of the studio’s early digital marketing efforts.

A promotions veteran with more than 20 years of experience, Slavin was most recently the founder and president of MSN Marketing. Prior to that, she served as senior vice president of strategic planning and promotions at CBS Films, overseeing the development of online promotions and marketing initiatives, as well as developing partnerships across multiple CBS divisions for the studio’s first three films. Slavin also spent time at Warner Bros, creating numerous business opportunities with national brands.

“The combined experiences and creative talents of Justin and Mimi in marketing and promoting family entertainment will be invaluable to us as we continue to grow and diversify the DreamWorks brand,” says Dawn Taubin, chief marketing officer, DreamWorks Animation. “I am thrilled to have this duo join our team.”
