Dr. Seuss Enterprises, a leading global children’s entertainment company, has announced the hiring of Ellie Terveen as director of retail sales. Terveen, who was previously interim senior director of retail operations at adidas Global, will spearhead all retail relationships in the U.S. and abroad for Dr. Seuss Enterprises. This latest hire comes as Dr. Seuss Enterprises continues to strengthen its overall merchandising program, inking deals in virtually every category while adding to its robust roster of portfolio partners.
Terveen will report to Susan Brandt, chief executive officer, president, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, and manage the relationship between Dr. Seuss Enterprises and brick-and-mortar and e-commerce retailers, including overseeing retail marketing and merchandising programs. As an industry veteran with over a decade of experience, Terveen will continue to help the company evolve and expand the Dr. Seuss brand platform while playing a key role in the collaboration between the brand’s marketing teams, licensing teams, international teams, licensees and retail partners.
“I am so grateful to be joining the team at Dr. Seuss Enterprises, helping to move on their vision of promoting literacy and imagination through Dr. Seuss’s iconic works,” says Terveen. “In this new role, I look forward to leaning on my extensive experience in merchandising to strengthen the incredible work this beloved property is doing.”
“Ellie has a proven record of not only heightening retail marketing and merchandising programs for impressive brands, but also being a standout leader, driving teams to exceed their goals,” says Brandt. “I am thrilled to welcome Ellie to the team; with such an impressive background, I am excited to see how she advances as Dr. Seuss Enterprises expands.”
