Discovery's Latest Quest: India

Discovery has tapped Black White Orange Brands to serve as the licensing agent for the brand in India.

Through the deal, Black White Orange will work with Discovery to build their brand extension and merchandise programs in the country, by leveraging Discovery’s reputation and vast portfolio which includes major brands including Animal Planet and Discovery Adventures, among others.

Black White an Orange will look for opportunities in apparel, electronics, plush toys for kids, travel & adventure gear, bags, stationery, home décor and more.

“Discovery is recognized for its heritage, designs and premium quality,” says Ian Woods, senior vice president, international licensing, Discovery. “We’re excited to be partnering with Black White Orange and look forward to the innovative ideas they will bring to our brand extension program, providing consumers in India with a direct connection to Discovery through a range of products.”

The first launch of official Discovery merchandise and consumer products is expected to hit stores by early 2019.
