Banijay, Zodiak Finalize Merger

French production companies Zodiak Media and Banijay Group have completed a merger that to unites the companies’ catalogues and production units.

Zodiak and Banijay announced the merger deal in July 2015.

According to the newly-created Banijay Group, the joint company will now have operations in 17 territories that produce entertainment, factual, reality, drama, docu-drama, children’s and animation programming.

Tim Mutimer has been named head of distribution and will lead the merge of both companies’ international distribution operations. The distribution arm will keep the name Zodiak Rights.
