Four new licensees have signed on to support Rovio’s brand ahead of its movie debut.
Maurizio Distefano Licensing has secured four new licensees for Rovio’s Angry Birds property, in anticipation of the film’s Italy debut, June 16.
New regional partners include:
BBS for themed party items such as plates, cups, tablecloths, napkins, candles, balloons, party hats and streamers;
Fratelli Fabbri Editori for a series of books inspired by the film, including game books, sticker books and puzzle books;
Ravensburger for 2D and 3D puzzles; and
Walcor for a series of chocolate coins and notes, medallions, eggs and more.
“The strong appeal of both the ‘Angry Birds’ game and of the witty and delightful imagery associated with it has inspired a major film release and continues to inspire some wonderful product launches–and these new licenses are a worthy addition,” says Maurizio Distefano, founder and director, Maurizio Distefano Licensing.
