Authentic Brands Group has tapped Daniel W. Dienst to serve as the company's executive vice chairman and chief strategy officer.

In his new role, Dienst will work to shape ABG’s long-term strategy, oversee the company’s global development business, spearhead the corporate focus on media, digital strategy and content monetization.

Most recently, Dienst served as the chairman and chief executive officer of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, one of four roles as chairman and chief executive officer of a public company. He also currently serves as the director of Knoll, a design-driven furniture brand. Other functions include chief strategic advisor to Marie Kondo (Konmari Inc.), a best-selling Japanese author, helping scale her media, publishing and burgeoning product empire. From 2015-2016, Dienst was an Independent Director of 1stdibs.com, an antique marketplace.
