Yehuda Shmidman to open second day of the brand licensing conference.

Yehuda Shmidman, chief executive officer of Sequential Brands Group, will deliver the opening keynote on Day Two of the NYC Licensing Summit.

The conference and networking event will take place March 2-3 at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Tickets are still available, but space is limited and last year’s Summit sold out, so secure your space soon!

Shmidman will discuss new and exciting initiatives for the Martha Stewart brand as well as other opportunities for the company’s portfolio, which also includes Jessica Simpson, William Rast, Emeril Lagasse, Heelys, Avia and more.

Sequential Brands ranks as No. 14, according to License Global’s Top 150 Global Licensors annual research study, reporting $4 billion in retail sales from licensed merchandise worldwide in 2015. Founded five years ago, Sequential has achieved phenomenal growth in the last few years, more than doubling its size from 2014 to 2015.

The announcement of Shmidman’s participation comes in a week of big news for the NYC Licensing Summit, which also unveiled two other additions to the speaker lineup–actress and entrepreneur Drew Barrymore and Dave Jones, EVP and CFO of Iconix, the world’s fourth largest licensor.

Other companies that will be featured in the conference program include A+E Networks, Activision Blizzard Media Networks, Cartoon Network Enterprises, Epic Rights, Head Sport, Macy’s Parade, Nickelodeon Viacom Consumer Products, PepsiCo North America, PVH Corp., Sony Pictures Entertainment, Stanley Black & Decker, Wunderlich Securities and Xcel Brands.
