PowerStation Studios has announced the final lineup for The Arcade gaming activation at BLE.

With less than two weeks to go before BLE 2019, PowerStation Studios confirms the final lineup of partners for The Arcade–the much-anticipated gaming and esports activation taking place at this year’s show. The Arcade will celebrate the history of gaming, spanning the 1970s through present day, and will provide a view of the future of gaming and the huge licensing opportunity for the industry.

Rovio, SEGA, Difuzed, Bandai Namco and Disguise join Activision, Bioworld and Sybo Games, previously announced partners of the project. Expect a trip down memory lane from SEGA, who will shine a light on the retro gaming characters we all know and love.

“We’re really excited to be participating in the planned Gaming Zone at this year’s Brand Licensing Europe,” says Jason Rice, director, brand licensing, EMEA, SEGA. “With so much buzz and excitement around all the new SEGA content and our plans for international licensing success, it’s an absolute priority for us to be part of such a key event.”

With a view to the future, Rovio will proudly present its AR capabilities and provide opportunities to get hands-on and try out the technology.

“With our ‘Angry Birds’ 10th anniversary celebrations about to roll out at the end of this year, it’s important for us to be a partner in the planned Gaming Zone at BLE,” says Simo Hämäläinen, senior vice president, Brand Licensing, Rovio. “It also gives us a great opportunity to showcase how we are constantly innovating on the traditional licensing world, for example, with our augmented peality app ‘Angry Birds Explore,’ which links the physical consumer products to the digital universe of ‘Angry Birds’ via cool AR experiences.”

Anniversary celebrations will be in full swing for Bandai Namco, as “Pac-Man” turns 40. Activision Blizzard will celebrate its upcoming 40th anniversary in 2020, and will showcase its hugely successful franchise “Call of Duty.” Joining in, Difuzed will focus on its work in the esports arena, and Sybo Games will present its ever-popular “Subway Surfers” series.

There will be plenty of opportunities to get hands-on with your favorites games. Custom t-shirt printing will be provided by Bioworld, and attendees will have the opportunity to dress up as some of their favorite gaming characters, courtesy of Disguise.

“As we expand our reach across EMEA, Disguise is thrilled to provide a photo booth activation in ‘The Arcade’ at BLE,” reports Tara Hefter, executive vice president and general manager, Disguise. “This is a fun opportunity for attendees to get a photo flip book of themselves wearing some amazing costumes and accessories from our extensive video game costume line including ‘Halo,’ ‘Minecraft’ and Nintendo.”

Brand Licensing Europe takes place Oct. 1-3 at ExCeL London, and you can find The Arcade at stand D280. Register to attend the event by visiting brandlicensing.eu.
