With his background in gaming events, Activision Blizzard’s Mike Sepso will offer insight into the burgeoning market of competitive gaming.

More people are playing and watching eSports, that is professional video game competitions, than ever before, with viewership of some of the biggest eSports competitions even outpacing traditional sporting events like the NBA Finals and World Series.1

Major League Gaming creates and streams live video games tournaments and organizes competitive gaming leagues across the U.S. and Canada. The company was acquired by Activision Blizzard in January 2016 in a move to strengthen its position in the competitive

gaming realm.

Sepso will discuss the exploding potential in the world of competitive gaming and its implications for the licensing industry in a special session at 9:45 a.m. on the second day of the conference March 3.
