Sanrio has teamed with Hyper Hippo Games, an independent games studio, to develop a raft of lifestyle apps inspired by the company’s new Hello Sanrio brand.

Sanrio has teamed with Hyper Hippo Games, an independent games studio, to develop a raft of lifestyle apps inspired by the company’s new Hello Sanrio brand.

Hello Sanrio was created to bolster Sanrio’s core foundation of social communication. The app platform is the first of its kind for Sanrio and will utilize a range of immersive social applications that incorporates Hello Kitty and other characters from the company’s portfolio including Keroppi, Chococat, Pompompurin and more. The apps will be available for mobile devices and PC.

“The Hello Sanrio app family will combine social communication and our legendary breadth of characters to offer fans a new touch point to experience the brand,” says Jill Koch, senior vice president, brand management and marketing, Sanrio. “This marks the first time Sanrio will launch a new brand with digital content and merge the worlds of our characters so they can interact with one another. Our goal is to provide a platform for fans to connect and engage with each other and Sanrio’s expansive family of characters.”

The Hello Sanrio lifestyle apps are slated to launch this summer.
