Polaroid and Retrospekt have teamed up with the

Frida Kahlo Corporation

to launch a new limited-edition Polaroid instant camera inspired by the legacy of Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo.

The cameras are built by Retrospekt – the official Polaroid licensee –and feature refurbished internal parts from vintage Polaroid 600 instant cameras of the 1980s and 1990s. Vintage components inside every camera are restored to work just like new. The original pieces are then wrapped into freshly molded plastic exteriors that feature colorful pixel graphics of skeletons, flowers, and Kahlo herself. This limited-edition camera is currently available directly from Retrospekt and at Urban Outfitters in the U.S.

Retrospekt is donating five percent of each camera sale to Together We Rise, an organization that seeks to improve children’s lives in foster care. Specifically, during the pandemic, Together We Rise is dedicated to providing emergency support for foster youth impacted by COVID-19.

The Frida Kahlo Corporation

has also released branded facemasks and a reusable face guard with an anti-fog design. Face guards are made to be easy to clean, durable, flexible and comfortable.
