Entertainment, licensing and merchandising PR agency miPR has launched a new standalone licensing division, miLicensing, to represent brands across the music, toy and entertainment industries.

The new division joins the current miPR group, which encompasses miPR, the group’s core division, miEvents for retail shopping center events and its international PR business, miPRGlobal.

The new licensing division will be overseen by miPR managing director, Kirsty Barr, with day-to-day operations run by Jonathan Rose, group commercial director.

“We believe miLicensing is the next natural step for our business and supports our 360-degree approach strategy. The new division is designed to offer cross-collaboration for our clients and to add wider value to our client offering as well as creating licensing opportunities with new clients and retailers,” says Barr. “PR will always remain at the heart of our business, my roots are in PR and myteam will continue to delight our current and future clients with creative and results-driven PR campaigns. It does mean our clients can now benefit from our wider range of services that have naturally developed through our growing relationships within the licensing industry.”

The company has also brought in licensing consultant Michael Gottlieb as its new licensing director to enhance its in-house expertise.

“I am absolutely delighted to join Kirsty and Jonathan in this exciting new venture,” says Gottlieb. “miLicensing has an unrivalled approach, fabulous new licenses, both existing and upcoming, with many new deals to be announced.”
