DreamWorks Animation has announced that its board of directors has nominated Universal Music Group’s Lucian Grainge and Hulu’s Jason Kilar to replace current directors Nathan Myhrvold and Richard Sherman, who are retiring.

The company’s stockholders will vote on the nominations at the upcoming annual meeting set for May 29.

Kilar was the founding chief executive officer of Hulu and a pioneer in the field of digital content. Prior to building Hulu, he served in key leadership positions with Amazon.com.

Grainge joined Universal Music Group in 1986 and currently serves as its chairman and chief executive officer. Grainge is also a member of the board of directors of Activision Blizzard.

“I am beyond excited at the prospect of welcoming Lucian and Jason to our board,” says Jeffrey Katzenberg, chief executive officer and director, DWA. “They are true superstars in their respective fields–Jason revolutionized how we consume content and Lucian is one of the most innovative forces in the music industry. The addition of their expertise to our already incredibly strong board will help take the company to new heights as we continue to grow our brand."
