NORTH AMERICA–Kingsford Charcoal, a subsidiary of the Clorox Company, has officially partnered with Major League Baseball for its 2018 season.

Through the partnership, Kingsford plans to celebrate America’s favorite pastime, and its tailgating fans, with a series of events and activations. First, the company will fete Opening Day, the league’s season kick-off and the first to feature all 30 teams playing on the same day in 50 years. Then, on March 29, Kingsford will serve up barbecue to hungry fans at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.

Meanwhile, Kingsford is savoring the partnership with a roster of baseball legends inkling Johnny Bench, David "Big Papi" Ortiz, Noah Syndergaard and more who will promote the joint venture in a series of campaigns.

Finally, Kingsford is launching an interactive digital experience called “Backyard All-Stars,” which invited baseball fans to pair videos of themselves with the voices of some of the league's iconic announcers (including Vin Scully). The company has paired with Vivoom to produce the experience.
