Dumont Announces Stationery Deal for Artist Partner of The London Studio
Calendar publisher Dumont uses Emmy Lupin designs for Europe-wide launch.
January 11, 2024
Designs by Emmy Lupin, an artist represented by art licensing and design company, The London Studio, have been licensed for a series of 2025 diaries and calendars. The collection will be launched across Europe by German calendar publisher, Dumont Kalenderverlag, late this year.
In total, Dumont commissioned 14 Emmy Lupin images for its 2025 social stationery collections.
The diaries and calendars will be on sale to the public, both online and at physical retail, including kiosks, groceries, card shops and department stores, across Europe from Q4 2024.
Based in Nottingham, England, Emmy Lupin’s work is inspired by looking at life through a female lens – with a bold use of pattern and color and a decorative, hand-drawn style. The news rounds off a successful 2023 for Lupin, who was recently commissioned by U.S.-based fashion retailer, Nasty Gal, to illustrate and design a cowgirl-inspired collection for Thanksgiving and Christmas. A line of Lupin’s friendship-based cards has also appeared exclusively at Trader Joe’s, a national chain of U.S. neighborhood grocery stores.
“Emmy has a confident, appealing and highly individual style that fits perfectly with the London Studio’s love of exciting, memorable and original art,” says Soula Zavacopoulos, founder, director, The London Studio. “This agreement with a leading calendar publisher is both welcome and deserved.”
The deal was brokered, on behalf of The London Studio, by independent licensing sales consultant, Maggy Harris, BlueSkye Licensing.
“Emmy combines unmatched experience as an illustrator for books, magazines, big brands and small businesses, charity campaigns and social content with a thrilling style all of her own,” says Haris. “She’s an ideal partner for a major name in its field like Dumont.”
