Alphanim Signs Galactik Football Promo with La Gazzetta Dello Sport

Italy's sports magazine La Gazzetta dello Sport, from the RCS Group, is launching a 12-week DVD promotion with episodes from season 1 of Alphanim's animation series "Galactik Football."

The collectible DVDs will each contain exclusive bonuses devised by sports video producer Big Berry, who struck the deal with Gazzetta.

The promotion launched this week and was supported by a TV and print advertising campaign, as well as a dedicated Web microsite.

Produced by French animation studio Alphanim and France Télévisions in association with Jetix Europe, "Galactik" is a mix of 2-D and toon-shaded 3-D and follows the progress of the Snow Kids, a futuristic football team from the planet Akillian as they try to win the prestigious Galactik Football Cup.

The show blends drama, action sports and magic, and is currently on air in over 100 countries.
