The festive new licensing deal to launch The Snowman Afternoon Tea at Café Rogue has been announced in partnership with Penguin Ventures.

Three tiers of delicious treats, inspired by the Raymond Briggs’ animated classic, include Café Rouge’s own take on Croque served with pigs in blankets; ‘snowy’ scones dusted with icing sugar and served with white chocolate buttons, strawberry jam and clotted cream; S’mores marshmallow chocolate cheesecake topped with orange zest, Christmassy carrot cake; and white chocolate mousse topped with a white chocolate ‘snowball’.

“The Snowman Afternoon Tea at Café Rouge perfectly captures the festive spirit of the classic story and it tastes absolutely delicious too,” says Izzy Richardson, head, brand management, Penguin Ventures. “Guests are in for a wonderful treat, and we hope that many magical memories are made in this special celebratory year for Café Rouge!”

“We really wanted to create a festive experience for guests who love afternoon tea and who love The Snowman,” says Jaci Fletcher, head, marketing, Café Rouge. “By teaming up with Penguin Ventures, we’ve managed to capture precious Christmas memories and give them back to guests in the form of something edible!”

With Penguin Ventures celebrating its 40th anniversary of The Snowman in 2018 and Café Rouge marking 30 years in 2019, this festive season marks an important opportunity to add the U.K. high street something different.
