Royal Horticultural Society (RHS)
has announced the appointment of Threadbare, a family-run fashion house, to produce a wide range of apparel for women, men, children and – in a first for the RHS – dogs.
The first collection launches in time for RHS Flower Show Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire, U.K. (19-23 July 2023), and features eight pieces consisting of two tops, one pair of trousers and one dress – each in a choice of two colorways.
All the designs used in this collection have been inspired by assets from the RHS Lindley Collections. The partnerships with the RHS will be highlighted on the Threadbare website.
The first range will be available to buy from July 18 exclusively on Threadbare.com. Threadbare/RHS apparel ranges for men and children, and jumpers and jackets for dogs, will follow in 2024.
To support the launch campaign, a photoshoot recently took place at RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford. Threadbare have also visited the RHS Lindley Library in London to highlight the images
“The marvelous design assets of the RHS Lindley Library, the support of the RHS itself and our own focus on quality and affordability have come together in a wonderful and unique collection,” says Rachael Myers, ladieswear designer, Threadbare. “We’re thrilled with this collection and looking forward to more launches in 2024.”
“Threadbare’s commitment to providing high-quality fashion pieces that are both sustainable and ethically sourced makes it an ideal RHS licensee,” says Cathy Snow, licensing manager, RHS. “This collection, stylish and affordable with a marvelous use of RHS Lindley Library imagery is a joy. We’re delighted to be partnering with Threadbare.”
