VIMN Names New Spanish GM

Viacom International Media Networks has named Manuel Gil as the new general manager of VIMN Spain.

In his new role, Gil will oversee the strategic direction of VIMN’s portfolio of brands and businesses across the country, taking responsibility for MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Comedy and Paramount Channel, a suite of digital media platforms, as well as consumer products, program sales and ad sales.

Gil succeeds Raffaele Annecchino, who was promoted to managing director of South Europe, the Middle East and Africa earlier this year, and will report directly to him.

Gil previously oversaw VIMN’s brands in Iberia as the vice president of affiliate and digital media. Prior to joining VIMN, Gil held positions at Turner Broadcasting, Jazztel, Via Digital, Telefonica de España and Valoris in Spain.
