MC Appliance, owners of the Magic Chef brand, has appointed Ted Kochowicz to the role of senior licensing manager.

In his new role, Kochowicz will build an outbound licensing program that will bring Magic Chef products to new categories in key distribution channels. He will also work to leverage the Magic Chef brand equity to build an inbound licensing program featuring top brands that will aim to strike a chord with customers.

Additionally, he will compile comprehensive brand guidelines, which will help partners better understand the brand so they can develop product lines that are on-strategy.

Prior to joining MC Appliance, Kochowicz served as brand manager for Turner Licensing where he oversaw the licensing of sports calendars and stationery. Prior to that, he has executed programs with global brands such as Wilson Sporting Goods, Corona Extra and Pokémon, among others.

“The Magic Chef brand has a long, storied history and great brand awareness amongst consumers in all demographics,” says Kochowicz. “By building a strategy that focuses on both inbound and outbound licensing, we can engage consumers with multiple touchpoints in the kitchen, indoors and outdoors, while reinforcing our core values of easy-to-use, affordable and reliable products for cooks of all skill levels.”
