Total Nonstop Action Entertainment has appointed Al Ovadia as chief marketing officer, where he will oversee marketing development of the TNA wrestling brand, as well as licensing.

For more than 20 years, Ovadia has served in a variety of key positions, including executive vice president of Sony Pictures Consumer Products, vice president of licensing and merchandising at Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation and vice president of network creative services at NBC Television.

"TNA Entertainment is poised to make huge strides in our involvement on multiple entertainment platforms," says Dixie Carter, TNA's president. "Al's experience and foresight in the industry will be indispensable as we move forward to take TNA Wrestling to the top of the entertainment world."

TNA's flagship TV series "TNA Impact!" is broadcast in more than 100 countries, as well as pay-per-view, live event and home video platforms.
