Ferdinand IP, a national boutique law firm specializing in intellectual property and licensing has added two new partners–Katrin Lewertoff and Marc Foodman. 

Lewertoff will head the firm’s worldwide trademark prosecution practice. Lewertoff has extensive experience in domestic and foreign trademark prosecution. She regularly assists clients in U.S. and foreign jurisdictions on a variety of intellectual property matters including clearance, adoption and filing of trademarks, trademark investigations, license agreements, prosecution of copyright applications, and litigation of trademark and Internet domain name disputes. Lewertoff also has experience with global intellectual property transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and secured financing.

Foodman will supervise the firm’s worldwide patent prosecution practice. Foodman has been practicing for more than 25 years, both as in-house counsel with prominent corporations and in private practice. He has extensive experience in a wide range of industries including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, oilfield services, gaming and consumer marketing. His corporate positions include general counsel and senior vice president of Walker Digital Management, an independent R&D lab that invents new ways to conduct consumer-oriented businesses; vice president, intellectual property at Sun Microsystems; director, intellectual property at International Game Technology.
