Exclusive: Netflix Appoints Ex-Nike Exec to VP of Consumer Products

Josh Simon comes to Netflix from Nike where he was head of global strategy for product, design, merchandising and categories.

Netflix has named Josh Simon as vice president, consumer products.

Simon comes from Nike where he was vice president/head, global strategy for product, design, merchandising and categories. He takes on the role having gained a combination of experience in consumer products, entertainment, business and team leadership. Simon has held senior strategic planning and film production roles at the Walt Disney Company, oversaw development and production at Color Force (producers of “The Hunger Games” and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”) and worked with Blumhouse Productions in the live experience business.

At Netlix, Simon will be overseeing a growing consumer products team that has made launches on titles such as “Stranger Things,” “La Casa de Papel” and “To All the Boys: ps. I Love You.”
