Jim Connelly, a 25-year executive of the NFL, was recently appointed to senior vice president of consumer products at WWE.

Connelly will manage the company's global licensing, home entertainment, book and magazine publishing. He will report to Donna Goldsmith, chief operating officer.

At the NFL, Connelly most recently held the position of managing director of its Europe league. He also served as senior vice president of consumer products, vice president of marketing and senior marketing manager for corporate sponsorships. Connelly left the NFL in 2007 and co-founded The Convergence Network and Brand Art LLC.

"We are thrilled to be able to tap into Jim's extensive experience in marketing, consumer products and branding," says Goldsmith. "As a proven and recognized business leader both in the U.S. and in Europe, Jim's business acumen will be an asset in furthering our consumer products business globally."
