Endemol U.K. Names Two New Execs

Endemol U.K. has appointed David Flynn as chief creative officer.

Endemol U.K. has appointed David Flynn as chief creative officer and promoted Nick Mather to the role of joint managing director of Remarkable Television.

Flynn served as Remarkable Television’s joint managing director since 2009 and co-chairs the U.K. Digital Board. He will now oversee creativity across all of the U.K. group. 

Flynn’s credits include creating and executive producing the “Million Pound Drop Live,” known as “The Money Drop” internationally, co-created the hit game show Pointless, which broadcast its 500th episode last week.

Mather, who also serves as controller of entertainment and formats at Endemol U.K. with team with Remarkable Television’s Colette Foster in his new position.

Mather took on his role as controller in 2011 and was formerly the company’s deputy creative director. He first joined Endemol from the BBC’s format entertainment development team in 2005. 

“David has developed and produced some of the most successful entertainment formats to come out of the U.K.,” says Lucas Church, chief executive officer, Endemol U.K. “He and Nick represent the very best in the business, and their appointment to these key roles keeps creativity at the heart of everything we do.”
