Cra-Z-Art adds to product lineup for the anime series in North America.
Cra-Z-Art has signed a wide-ranging deal to develop kids' merchandise based on the newly launched anime series "Yo-Kai Watch" in the U.S. and Canada.
The deal was brokered by the brand's North American licensing agent, Evolution.
Cra-Z-Art is now planning a line that will include stationery, art activity kits and puzzles, with first product set to launch in spring 2016.
Following success both on screens and shelves in Japan, "Yo-Kai Watch" premiered on Disney XD in U.S. and Teletoon in Canada in October.
Product from additional partners, including master toy licensee Hasbro, will arrive on shelves early next year.
"Cra-Z-Art is very excited to participate in the innovative 'Yo-Kai Watch' franchise," says Lawrence Rosen, chairman, Cra-Z-Art. "The property has become extremely successful in Japan, and we are looking forward to seeing the same popularity in the U.S. and Canadian markets. This is a tremendous opportunity for us to develop what we’re known for–creative and trendy activity, toy, art and stationery products that inspire kids’ imaginations.”
