Universal film franchise inspires new activation at Halloween-themed event.

NORTH AMERICA–Universal Pictures and Sony Pictures’ Stage 6 Films have teamed up with Universal Studios Hollywood to bring the horror film franchise Insidious to life at the park’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Beginning Sept. 15, the new maze will allow guests to delve into parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier’s past to defy the “most depraved and intimidating” beings that have tormented her since the childhood in the 1950s.

Halloween Horror Nights will also host a maze based on the Saw film franchise.

The next installment in the Insidious horror film franchise, Insidious: Chapter 4, is set to open in theaters nationwide on Jan. 5, 2018, and will see Dr. Rainier face her most fearsome and personal haunting yet: in her family home.
