Studio 100 is supporting the broadcast of its series “Maya the Bee” in Turkey with a roster of local licensing partners and live events.

The CGI series began airing on the Turkish children’s channel TRT Cocuk in February, and Maya the Bee made a special appearance in April at the channel’s children’s festival in Izmir.

The event, which was attended by more than 400,000 people, featured a Maya parade that was headed by Maya herself, as well as a number of meet-and-greet appearances and a Maya-themed booth.

Local licensing agent Sinerji has signed more than 15 licensees, among which are Basel as the brand’s regional toy distributor, Hakan Canta for stationery and back-to-school products and Zorlu for bedding.

“We are delighted that we have spread Maya’s appeal across Turkey and pleased to announce our broadcast partnership with TRT Cocuk, which has provided ‘Maya the Bee’ with prime transmission spots across its network,” says Marie-Laure Marchand, director, international licensing, Studio 100. “Maya will soon enjoy a high profile presence across Turkish retail too thanks to Sinerji’s hard work.”
