Striker Entertainment, Laika’s licensing agent, brokered the deal.
Under the terms of the agreement, NECA will develop a series of merchandise including reproduction hero puppets, traditional articulated figures, resin statues, plush figures, bobble head figures, stylized vinyl toys, large scale foam figures, prop replicas and board games. In addition, the licensee will also release a limited edition
in a Deluxe Display Box exclusive action figure at Comic-Con.
The deal with NECA also coincides with Laika’s pop-up exhibit, The Laika Experience, during Comic-Con. The exhibit, located at 520 Fifth Avenue, will feature a host of props, puppets, monsters and sets from Laika’s films. It will also include fan art, photo opportunities, daily giveaways, social media activations andmore. Laika merchandise will also be available at the pop-up experience.
