Sony Pictures Consumer Products is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the American sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie" with a wide-ranging product program.

The 1965 TV series followed the exploits of Jeannie, a genie who is unlocked from her bottle by the astronaut Major Nelson while he is on a mission.

Among the roster of partners signed up to join in the festivities are:

  • IGT will re-launch its "Dream of Jeannie" video slot machine, which includes two games and six bonuses;

  • Tonner Doll will release a line of commemorative fashion dolls;

  • Greenlight Collectibles has created die-cast cars;

  • Rubie's is offering a line of costumes for kids and adults; and

  • Trecvo has created a t-shirt range.

The series will also be re-released on DVD to further bolster the brand’s anniversary.

“With a strong staple of licensees, we are looking to round out a program to help celebrate this program,” says Greg Economos, senior vice president, global consumer products, Sony Pictures Entertainment.
