SLR Greenlights Pirate Dinosaur Series

Australia’s SLR Productions has greenlit the animated series “Captain Flinn and The Pirate Dinosaurs” in conjunction with with local broadcast partner Nine Network and international partners ZDF Enterprises, Telegael and Top Draw Animation.

The series is based on the award-winning picture books of the same name by Giles Andreae and Russell Ayto and won Best TV Pilot and the Arlecchino Award for Best Book-Based Work in 2011 at Cartoons on the Bay in Italy.

“Combining dinosaurs and pirates will make ‘Captain Flinn and The Pirate Dinosaurs’ a very unique series,” says Arne Lohmann, vice president, ZDFE.junior. “Filled with high-sea adventures, it will be sure to capture the hearts of the young audience.  We are delighted to be working with the team on this new series.”
