Coolabi has announced plans for a second season of the hit preschool series “Poppy Cat” after season one was sold to nearly 150 territories worldwide.
The show is co-produced by Coolabi’s television production arm, Coolabi Productions, and King Rollo Films, with commissioning broadcasters including Nick Jr. in the U.K. and Australia and Sprout in the U.S. Cake will continue as the international distributor for the series.
Production for season two is already underway with delivery to broadcasters expected in spring 2014.
“We are ecstatic that ‘Poppy Cat’ has become such a hit with preschoolers and their families, and Coolabi is thrilled to be producing a second series with our partners, Nickelodeon and Sprout,” says Zoe Bamsey, director of development and production, Coolabi. “‘Poppy Cat’ encourages little ones to turn their everyday routines into extraordinary adventures, and the series will also be supported by exciting product lines available for consumers.”
