Lucha Libre, the Mexican wrestling league also known as "Consejo Mudial de Lucha Libre," named One Entertainment exclusive licensing agent in North America.
One Entertainment will target both the U.S. Hispanic market and the broader pop culture market. Lucha Libre will develop a complete range of licensed products including leisure apparel, accessories, toys, games, stationary and food and beverages.
"Lucha Libre has long crossed over mainstream popular culture through the quirkiness of its environment, memorable movies, and striking visuals," says David Gebel, managing partner of One Entertainment. "It consists of one of the richest graphic sceneries available in the world of licensing, which truly sets it apart from other forms of the sport. This brand triggers a sense of culture, tradition, and honor."
