Nickelodeon is celebrating the holidays with activations at shopping malls and recreation parks in Asia, South Africa and at Russia’s Domodedovo Airport.

In Malaysia, families heading to Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang will have a SpongeBob SquarePants Christmas at the largest SpongeBob SquarePants attraction in the country. The event, which will run through Jan. 4, features a giant SpongeBob inflatable playground and SpongeBob’s iconic pineapple house.

At Trinoma Mall in Manila, the Philippines, a Nickelodeon Holiday Fair is taking place, offering local Nickelodeon licensees a platform to sell products including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys and Dora the Explorer apparel, footwear, toys and accessories. Participating licensees include Richprime Global, United Impulse, Feline Apparel, Chibuzo International and Currant.

In Singapore, Nickelodeon hosted two charity events–a SpongeBob Charity Walk in partnership with Downtown East (for which more than $180,000 Singapore dollars were donated to Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore) and a Dora the Explorer Animalito Adventure show in partnership with United Square.

At Sandton City in Johannesburg, South Africa, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are staging three interactive shows every day including meet-and-greets; and at East Gate Mall, Nickelodeon will conduct its first-ever Celebrity Slime Dunk Challenge for charity. SpongeBob, Dora and Boots will also host interactive sing-along shows every day until the New Year.

In West Africa, a Nickelodeon Christmas tree and toy grotto has been installed at the Silverbird Galleria in Lagos, Nigeria. Inside the galleria, daily festive activities will take place in the grotto around the tree and include appearances by Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants. Nickelodeon is also hosting a Nickelodeon Gift-a-thon with UNICEF in Nigeria to gather toys for disadvantaged children at schools across the region. The five schools that donate the most gifts will receive a visit from SpongeBob and Dora.

Finally, at Russia’s international Domodedovo Airport in Moscow, a balcony has been decorated with images of Nickelodeon characters including Dora, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and SpongeBob. Nickelodeon has also installed a giant Christmas tree in the central meeting point of the airport with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-branded Christmas balls bearing built-in screens that show excerpts from Nickelodeon programs. Passengers will also be greeted by a 4-meter high pyramid of giant orange Christmas baubles, decorated with the faces of some of SpongeBob’s friends.
