Feld Entertainment, producers of "Marvel Universe Live!," has partnered with Unifi, makers of the Repreve brand of recycled fibers, and the Boys and Girls Club of America to launch a nationwide program to teach youth about the importance of recycling and taking care of the environment.

"'Marvel Universe Live!' is a great platform to help spread the word about the power of recycling to our next generation," says Juliette Feld, executive vice president, Feld Entertainment, and producer, "Marvel Universe Live!." "We are excited to partner with Repreve to help the Boys and Girls Club of America and their affiliates across the country spread the message of recycling education."

Through the initiative, kids have collected nearly 300,000 water bottles in the past year alone, which have been used to make more than 100,000 t-shirts, 8,000 jackets or 25,000 pair of pants from Repreve recycled yarns.

To support the program, Feld and Unifi also donated $100,000 to the BGCA.

"At the Boys and Girls Club we're committed to providing a safe place for youth to learn and grow," says Frank Sanchez, vice president, the Boys and Girls Club of America. "We are excited to have 'Marvel Universe Live!' and Repreve continue to educate the children in our chapters across the nation regarding the importance of recycling. This $100,000 donation is going to help us continue to expand our recycling efforts with the members at our clubs."
