Jakks Pacific Reveals New Disney Fall Items at Sweet Suite Event

Toy manufacturer JAKKS Pacific showed the Disney Princess Style Collection Fresh Prep Gourmet Kitchen and Ursula’s Mystical Cauldron from Disney’s The Little Mermaid for the first time to press and influencers at the Toy Insider’s Sweet Suite event in New York City.

The Disney Princess Style Collection Fresh Prep Gourmet Kitchen has interactive features for kids, including a new “steam” feature for a realistic stovetop cooking experience. It has five interactive appliances (SFX recipe card reading Tablet, SFX & Lights Microwave, SFX, Lights & “Steam” Stove Top, SFX Faucet and SFX Dishwasher). Kids can prepare a gourmet meal with the included Majestic Meals “Pasta Night” Kit, which includes color-changing noodles. It also features an “organic” herb garden, ice dispenser, cutting board that fits on the sink, trash and recycling bin and “energy efficient” dishwasher.

The stovetop burner lights up and recognizes Pot and Fry pan with boiling and sizzling sound effects and a “steam” feature. With more than 35 pretend play accessories, the Disney Princess Style Collection Fresh Prep Gourmet Kitchen will launch at retail on Sept. 17.

Ursula’s Mystical Cauldron is inspired by Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” Kids can pretend to cast spells like Ursula with two feature play modes for water and non-water play, plus a spell book with recipes for homemade potions. This cauldron is also motion-activated. Kids wave their hands over the cauldron to activate lights, music and a real water-bubbling feature. It also plays Ursula’s song, “Poor Unfortunate Souls.” This set includes a seashell necklace that activates Ariel’s singing so kids can pretend to capture her voice – just like in the movie. It comes with a color-changing Ariel figure, potion bottles, bath fizzies and more potion-making accessories. Ursula’s Mystical Cauldron is available at retail on July 30.
