Grisù, a new preschool series set to be completed in H2 2022, is one of the key talking points for Mondo TV’s arrival at Brand Licensing Europe virtual. Ahead of its launch in Italy and Germany, Mondo TV has already signed agreements with the Giunti Group for publishing, covering story books, activity books, colouring books and a Grisù magazine.

Also, on display at BLE virtual will be “MeteoHeroes,” the animated series launched in 2020 which has since grown to over 140 countries. The licensing program of “MeteoHeroes” is also growing as the show reaches new territories, with more than 20 partners signed, toy deals under way in Turkey and new deals with Sammontana for ice creams leading into summer 2022.

“MeteoHeroes” is also under development as a video game across formats for 2022 with Sony Interactive Entertainment Espana and Gammera Nest.

Mondo TV is also bringing the classic book illustrated by Axel Scheffler and written by Julia Donaldson, “The Gruffalo,” to Brand Licensing Europe virtual. Working with Magic Light Pictures, Mondo developed a licensing program for The Gruffalo for Italy, Spain and Portugal in late 2019 with more partnerships on the horizon.

“We’re expecting strong interest in Mondo’s output from online visitors to BLE – and especially in these three properties, all of which have well-established international appeal,” Valentina La Macchia, director, licensing, Mondo TV. “We’ve got a busy and very exciting 2022 planned – in both broadcasting and licensing terms – and we’d love partners and potential partners to get in touch and ask us about it!”
