The long-running comic book series is development for an animated series.
NORTH AMERICA–Gaumont has optioned the comic book series “Usagi Yojimbo” for an animated TV series from the comic’s creator, writer and illustrator Stan Sakai.
“Usagi Yojimbo” takes place in 17th century Japan and features a variety of anthropomorphic characters. Miyamoto Usagi, otherwise known as Usagi Yojimbo, is a ronin warrior with the heart of a hero. Now masterless, the series follows his adventures as he encounters dinosaurs, ghosts/monsters, cats, bats, bounty hunters, giant snakes and aliens.
