Entertainment One has opened its British film property Nativity for licensing, with the third film in the series, Nativity 3: Dude, Where’s My Donkey, is slated to hit theaters across the U.K. in November.

The first two films in the franchise have built a solid fanbase with the first Nativity movie (2009) bringing in £5.3 million at the U.K. box office and the sequel Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger (2012) taking in £9.2 million.

“Nativity has proved its popularity with British audiences through strong box office receipts and high volume DVD sales,” says Hannah Mungo, head of U.K. licensing, eOne. “This wholesome family entertainment property has all the hallmarks of a perennial Christmas classic and the increasing consumer demand we’re seeing at retail for novelty seasonal products make this an un-missable licensing opportunity.”
