DreamWorks Animation has partnered with beIN Network to launch a television channel that will feature exclusive DreamWorks content in the Middle East and North Africa.
The channel will be available entirely in Arabic; however, viewers may also watch the network in English.
The 24-hour channel’s initial lineup will include DreamWorks’ series “Dragons: Race to the Edge,” “Dinotrux,” “All Hail King Julien,” “The Adventures of Puss in Boots” and “Dawn of the Croods.” The channel will also include a morning preschool block with shows such as “Guess with Jess,” “Roary the Racing Car” and “Little Red Tractor.”
“DreamWorks Animation is pleased to join beIN Media Group,” says Eric Ellenbogen, co-head, international TV, DreamWorks. “beIN Media group is brining many of our popular original series together in one amazing place for families in the Middle East and North Africa region o enjoy whenever they want.”
Additionally, the new network will help expand DreamWorks outside of the Asia Pacific region, in which it was launched for the first time in July 2015.
The DreamWorks channel on beIN will launch Aug. 1.
“We are glad to cooperate with DreamWorks and support in spreading the content of this channel in the Middle East and North Africa for the first time in Arabic to our subscribers and exclusively on beIN bouquets,” says Yousef Mohammed Al-Obaidly, executive vice president, beIN Media Group. “We seek to meet the needs of our large audience of children in the region and our goal is to provide educational and entertaining services to children and families through our designated channels.”
