CBS Grows Licensing Roster

CBS Consumer Products have revealed a host of new licensees and products to further expand the merchandising programs for its top television properties, both classic and new.

“Star Trek,” “Billions,” “Happy Days,” “NCIS” and other top CBS programs will expand with apparel, stationery, games, collectibles and more worldwide.

CBS Consumer Products have revealed a host of new licensees and products to further expand the merchandising programs for its top television properties, both classic and new.

Kicking off the company’s licensing initiatives is a robust lineup of new domestic and international licensees for the “Star Trek” franchise. In the U.S., Open Roads Brands has signed on for metal wall décor; Crystalize for bobbleheads and crystal plaques; and the N.J. Croce Company for bendable figures and keychains; WobbleWorks for a 3Doodler Create “Star Trek” Pen Set; Raw Thrills for coin operated amusement machines; Middle of Beyond for sweater designs; and OT Sports for themed jerseys at junior and minor professional sports.

Meanwhile, in Japan, Imperial Enterprises will launch a line of “Star Trek”-inspired watches; Caravan has signed on for mobile accessories; Camino & Co. for Japanese folding fans; and Kanehira Co. for stamps. In Europe, Misirli U.K. has signed on for “Star Trek” hosiery and Viving Costumes is debuting a t-shirt collection in Spain and Portugal. In Brazil, São Domingos will launch “Star Trek” stationery.

Finally, worldwide merchandising collections include Taibo Beijing Technology for PC accessories; Trick-or-Treat Studios for character masks in the U.S., Canada and Europe; and Winning Moves for co-branded board and card games, which will be available in the U.K., Germany, Australia and other territories.

Beyond “Star Trek,” other global partners that will expand a host of brands in the CBS portfolio include: Stoli Group USA for “Billions”-branded vodka; Zynga for “Billions” free-to-play online slots games; Garbo Studios for “Le Mans” graphic novels; BIC for “NCIS” lighters; TVM Fashion for apparel and accessories based on “Beverly Hills 90210,” “Taxi,” “Happy Days,” “Mork & Mindy,” “The Twilight Zone,” “Penny Dreadful” and “Dynasty.”

Classic brands within the portfolio will also see new product collections. Bare Tree Media is launching a line of “I Love Lucy” emojis; the New Zealand Lottery Commission has signed on for “Happy Days” scratch off lottery tickets; Mad Engine for “Solid Gold” and “Star Search” apparel; TAA Apparel for sleepwear based on a variety of classic brands, such as “Cheers,” “Hawaii Five-O,” “The Brady Bunch” and many more.

Finally, fans in the U.S. and Canada will be able to access apparel and headwear based on brands such as “90210,” “Billions,” “Charmed” and many more from Body Rags. Greenlight has also signed on for die-cast vehicles inspired by new and classic brands including “Blue Bloods,” “Cheers,” “Mork and Mindy,” “NCIS” and more.
