RP2 Global will develop and distribute figures, plush, role play items and more for the CGI animated series.
Lisle Licensing has named RP2 Global to serve as the master toy partner for “Bottersnikes & Gumbles” in the U.K., Eire and Australia.
The initial range will include plastic and vinyl figures as well as plush and role play toys inspired by the CGI animated series.
“We are delighted to have partnered with RP2 Global,” says Francesca Lisle, director, Lisle Licensing. “They are an innovative group of people and we are looking forward to working with them to develop a fun toy line for this fantastic brand. ‘Bottersnikes & Gumbles’ lends itself perfectly to the target audience of boys ages 4-9 and we can’t wait to see the toy line develop over the coming months.”
The new “Bottersnikes & Gumbles” toys are set to launch in the U.K. in spring/summer 2018.
“After the success we achieved with bringing ‘Oddbods’ to every market in EMEA in 2017, we have been looking for a second piece of TV IP to further grow our business,” says Simon Cox, managing director, RP2 Global. “We are very excited about ‘Bottersnikes & Gumbles,’ which has rated consistently well over a period of time on CBBC. The line that we will produce will be in the heartland of boys ages 4-9, which is very much backed up by the TV audience. Given the content will live in the digital space as well as on a traditional broadcast channel, enables the property to cover all kids.”
“Bottersnikes & Gumbles” is based on a series of books by S.A. Wakefield and follows the adventures of three Gumble heroes as they try to avoid getting tin-canned by their grumpy neighbors, the Bottersnikes.
